At the end of 1972 the Dutch Photographer Jan Heese, who was at that time Yamaha's "House" Photographer, took a lot of pictures for the coming season.
Jan Heese took this very nice picture of Jarno and his wife together with yours truly near the river Amstel in Amsterdam. That TX750 is the bike I rode in the very first long distance test to Switzerland. But that is a different story!
In March 1973 Jarno started the season by surprising everyone in winning Daytona with his Yamaha 350 factory bike. here you see his machine being prepared for the event.
Here you see Jarno in his immaculate style going for the Victory in the Daytona Race (nr.10)
I have far better pictures of Paul Ricard 1973 but for the time being it has to be this one.
In Salzburg, Austria, the weather conditions were apalling, But Jarno won again both the 250 cc class and the 500 cc class in a convincing style. Absolutely nobody could get near him.
